How to Enable God Mode in Windows

Now with Windows retiring the Control Panel, users are saddened and upset as the supposed to be successor, the Settings App, is still not as good as the Control Panel. Common complaints against the Settings app are advanced settings are hidden, fewer options to change, and confusing. Good thing God Mode exists and it is a great alternative to Control Panel. God Mode is a special folder where you can access almost all of the Windows settings, all sorted out and without the hassle of going thru another setting to access a setting.

Here’s how to enable God Mode

1. Right-click on desktop, click New then click Folder.

2. Rename the folder with GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}. The GodMode. will not appear when you pasted it and it’s fine.

Notes:
1. Renaming the God Mode folder will make it a regular folder and the settings will be inaccessible.
2. Do not use existing folders. The files in that folder will be hidden if you rename it with God Mode.
3. God Mode is not available in 64-bit Windows Vista, Windows XP and older versions of Windows.

Though started gaming win NES Classic and Famicom, my love for PC gaming started in the late 90s with Command and Conquer Red Alert, Warcraft II, and PC versions of Golden Axe, Street Fighter, Prehistorik, Prince of Persia and many others. It also started my interest in PC hardware and software starting with DOS and Windows 3.11. I have been a computer technician for several internet cafes and retail stores in 2010s and that's also when I started writing for GamingPCBuilder.com
